Bacon-Wrapped Dates
Serves 8
This classic, three-ingredient hors d'oeuvre is always a hit!
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon (cut in half crosswise)
- 8 Medjool dates
- 2 ounces blue cheese or goat cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place bacon on a microwave-safe plate and cover with a paper towel. Cook in microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes to pre-cook.
- Cut a slit in each date; remove pits. Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of cheese. Pinch dates closed to seal. Wrap one piece bacon around each date. Secure each with a toothpick.
- Place on a foil or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until bacon is browned. Serve warm.
