BBQ Baked Beans

This recipe for flavorful, smoky beans is a quick, 15-minute fix to feed a hungry crowd. Serve this classic, barbeque side dish with your favorite grilled meats and veggies.
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon (cut into 1/2-inch lardons)
- 1 small yellow onion (chopped)
- 4 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
- 2 cups BBQ Sauce
- 1/3 cup tomato paste
Directions
- Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crisp. Stirring occasionally. Transfer to paper-towel lined plate and set aside.
- Remove all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings from pot. Add onion and sauté 2 to 3 minutes or until onion is soft.
- Add beans, BBQ sauce, tomato paste, and 1/4 cup water. Stir to combine. Reduce heat to medium low.
- Bring to simmer and cook 8 to 10 minutes, until piping hot.
