Chocolate Banana Nut Butter Smoothie
MAKES 1 (12 OUNCE) SMOOTHIE
This chocolate smoothie uses raw cacao and is sweetened with dates. Blend in bananas and your favorite nut butter for a delicious smoothie packed with calcium, iron, potassium, protein, and healthy fats.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces plant-based milk
- 1 1/2 bananas
- 1/4 cup nut butter (any variety)
- 3 dates (pitted)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (plus more for garnish)
- Sprinkle of ice
- Optional:
- 1 scoop protein powder
Directions
- Pour milk into blender. Add remaining ingredients and protein powder, if desired.
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Pour in a glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
