Easy Sparkling Sangria Cocktail

Try our sparkling version of sangria, sweetened with Italian soda. It's the ultimate, warm-weather refreshment—Spanish-style.

Ingredients

  • 2 lemons (quartered or sliced)
  • 2 oranges (quartered or sliced)
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
  • Simple syrup or granulated sugar (to taste)
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle orange Italian soda (chilled)

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brandy

Directions

  1. Squeeze lemons and oranges into a pitcher. Toss fruit into pitcher with juice. Add wine and brandy, if using. Add simple syrup or sugar, to taste.
  2. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight, to steep.
  3. Add Italian soda to pitcher, just before serving. Garnish glasses with citrus slices.
