Green Smoothie
MAKES 1 (12 OUNCE) SMOOTHIE
This refreshing smoothie is a great way to get your greens. It's lightly sweet from the pineapple with a hint of gingery warmth. Enjoy it on its own or with a scoop of your favorite protein powder. Drink to your health!
Ingredients
- 6 ounces coconut water
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 rib celery (cut into chunks)
- 1 kale leaf (any variety)
- 1/4 inch slice fresh ginger
- 2 sprigs mint (leaves picked, plus 1 sprig for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Sprinkle of ice
Optional Ingredients
- 1 scoop protein powder
Directions
- Add coconut water to blender. Add remaining ingredients and protein powder, if desired.
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Pour in a glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
