Herbes de Provence with Lavender (French Herb Blend)
MAKES 1/4 CUP
This aromatic seasoning is a blend of herbs grown in the Provence region of southern France. Ingredients and proportions vary—some say lavender isn't traditional; however, we like the summery, floral notes it adds. Herbes de Provence is great with lamb, chicken, pork, and rich seafood such as tuna or salmon. It's also delicious sprinkled on roasted potatoes. The recipe is easy to double, so make a big batch and keep it on hand.
