How to Create a Waffle Board
Look for ready-to-eat Belgian waffles in our bakery, pick up your favorites from the freezer, or make your own. We recommend offering a combination of savory and sweet toppings, but you can tailor the board to your taste. Plan on 2 - 3 waffles per person.
Ingredients
EASY PREP ITEMS
- Applewood smoked bacon
- Sweetened whipped cream
PREPARED ITEMS
- Belgian liège waffles with sugar pearls
- Petite Belgian waffles
COMPLEMENTARY ITEMS
- Salted European butter
- Pure Maple Syrup
- French Brie
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
- Chopped toasted hazelnuts
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Fresh basil
Directions
- Prepare bacon and whipped cream. Slice strawberries. Refrigerate whipped cream and berries until ready to serve.
- If using frozen waffles, heat according to package instructions.
- If desired, partially dip some waffles in melted chocolate and top with additional chopped chocolate or sprinkles. Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second increments, stirring in between and being careful not to burn. Allow to dry on a rack over a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Assemble the board. Save bananas and slice just before serving.
