Peach Crisp

Ingredients
FILLING
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 pounds peaches (cut into 1/2-inch slices (about 8 cups))
TOPPING
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (walnuts or almonds)
Optional Ingredients
- Vanilla ice cream or sweetened whipped cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Make filling: In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Stir to blend well. Add sliced fruit and toss. Place in prepared baking dish.
- Make topping: In small bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in butter. Mix in nuts. Sprinkle mixture over peaches.
- Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until peaches are tender and topping is golden.
- Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream or whipped cream.
