Protein Waffles

These delicious waffles aren't just warm and comforting on a chilly morning—the addition of protein powder makes them a nutrient-dense fuel to start the day.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
- 1/2 cup organic, plant-based protein powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Ingredients
- slice d banana
- dark chocolate chips
- chopped nuts
Directions
- Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. In a large liquid measuring cup, whisk together wet ingredients plus 3/4 cup water.
- Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Cook waffles according to instructions for your waffle iron. Serve warm with toppings, as desired.
