Shakshuka Fish Fillets

Serves 6
Delicious with almost any fish or shellfish, this is an easy and savory meal that cooks quickly. Serve with cooked grains and a salad.

Ingredients

  • 6 skinless fish filets (5 - 6 ounces each)
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar shakshuka sauce
  • 2 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley (leaves picked and finely chopped)

Optional Ingredients

  • Thinly sliced pickled pepperoncini
  • Drained black olives or capers

Directions

  1. Season fish filets on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Flip over fish and add shakshuka sauce. Add pepperoncini, olives, and/or capers, if you like.
  3. Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until fish is opaque at center. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve warm.
