Shakshuka Fish Fillets
Serves 6
Delicious with almost any fish or shellfish, this is an easy and savory meal that cooks quickly. Serve with cooked grains and a salad.
Ingredients
- 6 skinless fish filets (5 - 6 ounces each)
- Kosher salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 (24 ounce) jar shakshuka sauce
- 2 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley (leaves picked and finely chopped)
Optional Ingredients
- Thinly sliced pickled pepperoncini
- Drained black olives or capers
Directions
- Season fish filets on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Flip over fish and add shakshuka sauce. Add pepperoncini, olives, and/or capers, if you like.
- Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until fish is opaque at center. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve warm.
