Strawberry Cashew Apple Smoothie
MAKES 1 (12 OUNCE) SMOOTHIE
We love using whole cashews in smoothies. The soft tree nuts blend beautifully into smoothies, creating homemade nut milk right in the blender! Add apples and strawberries for a balanced, sweet-tart smoothie loaded with protein and healthy fats.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces coconut water
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup raw unsalted cashews
- 1 green apple (cored and rough chopped)
- 2 dates (pitted)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Sprinkle of ice
- Optional:
- 1 scoop protein powder
Directions
- Pour coconut water into blender. Add remaining ingredients and protein powder, if desired.
- Blend on high until smooth.
- Pour in a glass.
