The Best 4-Ingredient Roasted Broccoli
Serves 6
High heat is the key to crispy-on-the-outside, crunchy-on-the-inside, perfectly roasted broccoli. Nothing soggy here! This is an easy, flavorful dish good enough to snack on by itself!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds broccoli florets
- 2 ounces grated parmesan cheese ((See Cook's Tip))
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 small lemon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss broccoli with most of the parmesan, the chili flakes, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Spread evenly on sheet pan and top with remaining parmesan. Roast until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Grate lemon zest over pan and squeeze juice from half of lemon all over. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
Cook Tips
Make it plant-based by subbing nutritional yeast for the cheese.
