Whiskey Sour (Batch Cocktail)

Making a quick simple syrup in advance, allows this batch-made take on a Whiskey Sour, to come together in an instant. Sweet, tart, and delicious!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice*
- 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 3 tablespoons simple syrup**
- 1 1/4 cup whiskey
- Ice (for serving)
- Lemon wedges (for garnish)
- Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
Directions
- Combine both juices and simple syrup in a pitcher. Stir. Refrigerate until chilled.
- Add whiskey just before guests arrive.
- Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon wedges and maraschino cherries.
- Chef's Note:
- *Can't find Meyer lemons? Sub in regular lemon juice and add just a bit more simple syrup if you find the mix too tart.
- **Simple Syrup:
- Combine 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate until cold.
